Dome Labels: Raised, Protected, Professional

A dome label is not an ordinary sticker. It is a premium multi-layer label system designed to turn the label area on a tape measure into a raised, high-gloss, three-dimensional brand surface.

Instead of using a flat printed label with a thin clear cover, the dome label starts with a custom printed base label containing the customer’s logo, store name, phone number, website, QR code, barcode, Pro-Rewards message, or promotional artwork. That printed label is then sealed under a clear polyurethane resin dome. The dome cures into a smooth, raised, crystal-clear surface that acts like a lens over the artwork underneath.

The result is a label that has depth, shine, and visual weight. The logo does not look flat. It appears protected under a clear raised badge, giving the tape measure a premium, custom-made appearance. On contractor-quality tape measures, this makes the product stand out immediately on a counter display, in a customer’s hand, or as a branded gift.

How the Dome Label Works

The dome label is built in layers:

1. Printed Base Label
The customer’s artwork is printed on a durable label base. This is where the logo, message, QR code, barcode, store information, Pro-Rewards message, or promotional graphics are placed.

2. Strong Adhesive Backing
The printed label includes a strong adhesive backing designed to bond securely to the tape measure housing.

3. Clear Polyurethane Resin Dome
A clear PU resin is applied over the printed label. As it cures, it forms a raised, flexible, glossy dome that seals the artwork underneath.

4. 3-D Lens Effect
The clear dome magnifies and enhances the printed image below it, creating a deeper, richer, three-dimensional look.

5. Protective Surface
The dome helps protect the printed artwork from moisture, rubbing, fading, oils, cleaners, and normal handling wear.
